• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Management;
• 3 years’ experience in accounting/finance support or related area.

Preferred qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Management;

Incumbents perform professional accounting and finance duties to ensure data accuracy, effective accounting controls, and compliance with District policies and State statutes.

Typical Essential Duties
• Manages assigned accounting or finance functions, to include those related to general ledger, audits, and related activities.
• Prepares and/or maintains accurate general, financial, and statistical records, reports, work papers and schedules, letters, and other documentation; work may also involve working with and updating databases and online systems, researching and analyzing information, and making recommendations based on findings;
• Reconciles ledgers or accounts, prepares journal entries, and processes payments, reimbursements, checks, deposits, and other transactions;
• Identifies, researches, and resolves account discrepancies; and contacts appropriate personnel, departments, and/or agencies to address any issues;
• Coordinates with internal and/or external personnel, departments, and agencies, to facilitate departmental operations, maintaining and/or retrieving documentation, making recommendations, resolving issues, planning and coordinating activities related to requisitions for programs; and ensuring information accuracy and compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
Knowledge
• Knowledge of accounting and financial management principles, practices, and procedures;
• Knowledge of budgeting principles;
• Knowledge of accounting and financial analysis techniques;
• Knowledge of accounting and financial system management principles;
• Knowledge of statistical and mathematical concepts;
