Position Summary:

The Administrative Specialist will provide professional level research administration support to faculty, scientists and staff within BMI. Duties will include working closely with the supervisor of a pool of biostatisticians who provide support across the University for research projects. This pool requires close administrative oversight as the funding sources and effort changes frequently. Will be responsible for department effort certification, as well as monitoring and maintaining paperwork associated with grant submissions. Additionally, the Administrative Research Support Specialist will work with the Statistical Data Analysis Center (SDAC), acting as a liaison between Data Safety Monitoring Boards and researchers working on specific projects. These activities require a high level of attention to detail. Individual will also be responsible for knowing and following SDAC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and will advise the Quality Manager regarding updates and possible issues with SOPs related to these duties.

This position will cross all areas of BMI's quickly growing, cutting edge research enterprise.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

A bachelors' degree in a related field is required.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

At least two years of experience in administration or research is required. Must have good communication and proven critical thinking skills. Must have an eye for detail.
