¾ Time Visiting Professor Position(s), Biomedical Engineering Non-Tenure Track



The Department of Biomedical Engineering within the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering at Rowan University invites applications for multiple ¾-time positions. We are seeking applicants for non-tenure track position(s) to teach undergraduate courses within the Department of Biomedical Engineering. Focus areas include core BME courses and courses in imaging and diagnostics, biomechanics and orthopedic engineering, pharmaceutical engineering and drug delivery, and regulatory pathways; however, additional focus areas will be considered. Successful candidates are expected to have demonstrated excellence in teaching and excellent written and oral communication skills.

We seek outstanding candidates who have a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, or a closely related discipline, and a baccalaureate degree from an ABET‑accredited engineering program (or equivalent).

Rowan University is a Carnegie-classified research institution with approximately 20,000 students. Its main campus is located in Glassboro, N.J., 20-miles southeast of Philadelphia, and it has a branch campus and medical school in Camden and a second medical school in nearby Stratford. The College of Engineering has undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical and Computer, and Mechanical Engineering. Biomedical Engineering is our newest department and is in a period of substantial growth.

Major metropolitan areas within the Northeast Corridor are within easy reach of Glassboro. Philadelphia is a thirty minute drive, New York City and Washington, D.C. are less than three hours away, and Jersey beaches are only an hour drive.
