Ca’ Foscari invites applications for a tenured-track position for an Assistant Professor in the area of Theoretical philosophy.

Ca’ Foscari is looking for a researcher in the area of Theoretical philosophy capable of inspiring students to become game-changers in their own fields and to make a genuine difference in the world.

Teaching activities and duties:

The researcher will teach max 90 hours (in Italian and English), in BA, MA and PhD programs.

Titles of the courses assigned to the researcher:

-           Philosophical Hermeneutics

-           Ontology

Research: Assuming as a prerequisite the provisions of the ministerial declaration relating to the academic discipline of ‘Theoretical philosophy’, the research activity will focus more specifically on two fields: Philosophical Hermeneutics and Fundamental Ontology.

This position is at the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Heritage, whose aim is to provide students with the knowledge to develop those interpretive, critical, analytical and communication skills that are necessary to understand and navigate the complexities of life in the 21st century.

The Department’s uniqueness is exemplified by its multidisciplinary and innovative approach to Philosophy, Art History, Social Sciences and Education Sciences, its four main areas of interest.
