Position Function

Coordinate all video services for the football program as well as advisory support and purchasing input for all intercollegiate athletic and support programs; supervise videotape of all practices and games; edit and digitize footage for all games and practices; manage sports video budget for football; coordinate and produce football highlight film, recruiting presentations, media requests and alumni and athletic presentations; organize and coordinate home and away meeting room setup and video needs; assign personnel camera locations, angles and make instant decisions on in-game adjustments.

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Minimum Experience

Two years of experience with football program in the area of video and technology.

Minimum Other

Flexibility in work schedule to meet operational demands.

Authorization to work in the US

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Education

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Preferred Experience

Five years of experience with football program in the area of video and technology.

Preferred Other

Pre-Employment Screening

Requires successful completion of a background check and education verification.

Duties & Responsibilities



Job Duty

Manage operation of the Catapult/ XOS football editing system which includes all coaches’ stations and server; provide coaching staff game edits, opponent edits, opponent cut-ups, and self scout cut-ups; train football coaches, graduate assistants and players on the video analysis system; diagnose strengths and weaknesses in technique, using video-analysis tools; prepare action plan based on analysis.



Job Duty

Hire, train and supervise undergraduates charged with videotaping football practices and competitions.



Job Duty

Produce and create highlights/graphics (motivational, banquet videos for football, media and alumni events, and social media); provide media production support by producing materials in a variety of formats including computer-based media, analog and digital video, post production editing, audio, video and digital duplicating.



Job Duty

Work in conjunction with the football coaching staff to draw up video equipment budget and provide advisory input for all intercollegiate athletic programs; create, revise and track video acquisition for the football program.



Job Duty

Fulfill requests for video, including dubbing radio play-by-play or other effects, for covering Ball State University athletic events, as well as similar requests for ESPN and other media outlets; direct video exchange program in compliance with the Mid-American Conference regulations; serve as primary contact with video analysis system vendor (DVSport) and coordinate all service calls; oversee new computer purchases for the football program and other technology associated with the program including Ipads.
