JOB DESCRIPTION

The University of Indianapolis is accepting applications for a Processing Specialist. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff role. The primary responsibility of the Admissions Processing Specialist is to manage and execute critical admissions processes within the CRM (Customer Relationship Management System) and provide a superior level of customer service via phone and/or email communications with prospective students and their families as well as internal constituents. Under the leadership of the Director of Admissions Operations, the Admissions Processing Specialist independently completes processes, troubleshoots when necessary, collaborates with other processing team members and supports the recruiting efforts of the Office of Admission. The Admissions Processing Specialist takes ownership of these processes, provides updates and suggestions for process improvement in support of operational needs of the Office of Admission.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides superior customer service when answering the main Admissions phone line and general Admissions email inbox
  • Enters college, high school and military transcript information into the CRM and moves files through the reader process
  • Performs processing duties within the CRM including but not limited to batch acquire, record merging and other data entry
  • Responsible for process documentation
  • Provides back up for I-20s
  • Collaborates with other offices including marketing, registrar and CASA (Center for Advising and Student Achievement)
  • Maintains knowledge of the functionality of other departments refers students as necessary
  • Conducts special projects as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior office experience that includes front-line customer service, database and data entry experience required
