Ogden College of Science and Engineering encompasses the applied and basic sciences, offering a broad range of degree programs in agriculture, biology, chemistry, computer science, computer information technology, construction management, engineering, geography, geology, architectural design, manufacturing sciences, mathematics, meteorology, physics and astronomy and psychological sciences. Associated with the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences department, the Computer Information Technology (wku.edu/cit) program is one of the top three most popular programs in the college.
Applications are sought for a 24-month, non-tenure track appointment at the Instructor I level in Computer Information Technology, commencing January 15, 2022. Anticipated teaching responsibilities include face-to-face and online undergraduate courses in all areas of computer information technology, including systems architecture, software development, network architecture and administration, information technology (IT) security analysis, systems analysis, database administration, and computer systems support. In addition, the preferred candidate will have recent professional experience in the IT field and will excel at explaining complex technical material to students with little or no IT experience, especially in the online environment.
- Completed master's degree from a regionally accredited institution in computer science, computer information systems, or related field.
- College level teaching experience.
