The Administrative Assistant will provide support to Autonomous Systems Policy Institute ( ASPI ) leadership by scheduling events and meetings, creating and distributing quarterly ASPI newsletters and other external engagement documents, and will oversee the Institute’s Social Media Sites (Instagram and Twitter).

This position will work with the Institute director on curricular initiatives, including the creation of new degree programs and the regularization of courses.

They will interact with key stakeholders (current and prospective students, industry partners, alumni, faculty, staff, etc.) seeking more information about the Institute and its activities’ and build familiarity with Curriculog and/or academic advising.


Bachelor’s Degree, 3+ years of experience in a similar position.

Job Specific Qualifications

- Knowledge of or ability to learn Web Development Software to update content on ASPI websites.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite
- Proficiency with online platforms, such as Slack and MailChimp.
- Strong organization skills
- Good communication skills
- Familiarity with student experience.


Provide administrative support to Institute leadership, assist Director and work in close liaison with other University departments and offices.

Support ASPI’s external engagement via its website and social media platforms, regular newsletters, and other communications. Maintain and update website to reflect the current programs, events, student opportunities, and update course list.

administrative work associated with conferences, workshops, visiting speakers, special meetings, as well as faculty searches and reviews related to the Autonomous Systems, Artificial Intelligence, and the Human-Technology cluster.

Manage logistical planning, space acquisition, publicity, travel and lodging arrangements, technology management, and food orders.

Support ASPI’s curricular initiatives, including proposals for the creation of two new degree programs, course regularization, and eventually graduate and undergraduate students entering these new programs.
