Job Summary

The Director of Development provides leadership and direction for the fundraising efforts for assigned academic areas. The position is responsible for raising philanthropic resources and developing fundraising strategies to further the College’s mission. This is a Professional Exempt Contractual (PEC) position for which an annual contract reflecting the base salary within the fiscal year (July 1st to June 30th) will be issued after ratification by Miami Dade College’s District Board of Trustees. 

• Master’s degree in a related field of study such as Business, Public Relations, or Marketing and four (4) years of experience in development, non-profit marketing or related field with some emphasis in Major gift fundraising, senior level fundraising, or upper-level annual fund work; or Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study such as Business, Public Relations, or Marketing and  eight (8) years of experience in development, non-profit marketing or related field with some emphasis in Major gift fundraising, senior level fundraising, or upper-level annual fund work
• All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
