The Talent Management Associate ( TMA ) works closely with members of the Talent Acquisition and Professional Development teams to provides a wide variety of logistical, administrative, and customer service support services to the Talent Management unit. This position has heavy interaction/communication with applicants, internal HR, and internal users of the University’s applicant tracking system. The TMA will participate in weekly recruitment meetings. Initiate background checks and monitor the progress of background investigations.

In addition, the TMA will also provide recruitment support for temporary and union roles across the University. The TMA will enter and distribute job requisitions to the recruitment team, in addition to providing limited faculty job posting and advertising support. This role will be responsible for the applicant tracking system, internal recruitment email support.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, marketing, business, communications, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Minimum two years of professional experience is required.

Minimum two years of previous experience in Higher Ed, employment agency, or corporate environment is preferred, not required.

Job Specific Qualifications

Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively with various levels.

Demonstrated ability to use technology tools coupled with strong interpersonal skills are required to partner with hiring managers and HR colleagues, engage and recruit qualified candidates, and guide candidates through the full life-cycle recruiting model.

Advance experience, in Excel and/ or Tableau is highly preferred.

Proficient with MS Office Products and technology tools and the desire to use the Internet, social media, and sourcing tools to recruit passive candidates.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic administrative support to the recruiting and professional development functions. Provide guidance and technical support to hiring authorities, and candidates on aspects of employment recruitment. Manage a portfolio of end-to-end temporary recruitment and union roles across the University. Lead the coordination of external recruitment events. Troubleshoot, respond and resolve user support issues derived from internal JobOpps email.

Work with hiring managers and HR colleagues to ensure job descriptions are clear, complete and within HR guidelines. Assist departments with ad placements to target desired audiences, collect ad copies from web social media sites, verify diversity outreach strategies have been implemented, and ensure reference checks and possible background checks have been completed to satisfaction.

Perform administrative duties associated with full life cycle employment such as: 1) auditing new hire information in PeopleSoft compared with PeopleAdmin data, 2) verifying that new hires and promotions in PeopleSoft have associated search or waiver information, and 3) auditing accuracy of PeopleAdmin data imported into the Data Warehouse to ensure accountability and data integrity throughout the recruiting process, and 4) processing full life cycle candidate flow information through the Applicant Tracking System and HRIS systems.

Identify EEO concerns and report recruiting metrics. Assist recruitment team
and hiring departments with data warehouse information and EEO reporting needs. May represent SU at public events, such as job fairs and community job outreach programs as needed. May provide support for faculty hiring when needed.
