The Department of Surgery at the University of Florida is currently recruiting a transplant surgeon for a satellite program in the State of Florida. This program will be integral component of the clinical, educational and research missions of the Division of Transplant and Hepatobiliary Surgery. The faculty position is the level of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level on either tenure accruing or multi-mission track in the Division of Transplantation and Hepatobiliary Surgery. Clinical and education responsibilities are centered on abdominal organ transplantation, with emphasis on kidneys transplantation. Candidates with laparoscopic donor nephrectomy skills are preferred. The educational roles pertain furthering the knowledge and skill of a transplant surgical fellow, surgery residents and medical students. Participation in the ongoing programs of the Department of Surgery, as well as service to the Health Center and University community.

Minimum Requirements:

  • M.D. degree or equivalent.
  • Board certified or eligible in general surgery
