The School of Humanities, Education, Justice & Social Sciences (HEJSS) at Lasell University seeks a highly motivated and collaborative individual to serve as a part-time undergraduate internship coordinator. The internship coordinator reports directly to the Dean of the School of HEJSS with joint reporting to the program chairs in each of our programs. Our largest programs are Psychology and Criminal Justice so a strong background in Psychology, Human Services, Social Work, or Criminal Justice with connections to community members/agencies in those fields is required. Other programs in the school that work with the Internship Coordinator include Sociology, Legal Studies, Law & Public Affairs, History, English, Global Studies, and Education (non-licensure programs only).

The successful candidate will be expected to offer guidance and support for our students in their pursuit of securing an educational and career-meaningful internship through teaching, counseling, mentoring and resume/interview preparation assistance. Further, the candidate will be expected to interact with our existing internship sites, develop potential new relationships and maintain/update our database of internship sites. The candidate must have a positive attitude, be organized, and be willing to work collaboratively with multiple programs while also working independently. Schedule is flexible and while we strongly prefer someone who can be available in-person for some of the hours, many aspects of the position can be completed remotely.

This is a semester-based position working with students during our traditional academic semesters. The internship coordinator is considered a part-time faculty member and depending on area of expertise, may be able to also teach a class for additional compensation.

While we anticipate this position starting in late-August, we are hoping the right candidate would be able to start on a more limited basis in the summer in a fully online role before transitioning to a hybrid/on-campus position for the fall semester.
