Position Summary:

This position provides administrative program support to the Department of Psychology. This position requires self-motivation and ability to work independently with general supervision of the Chair and Academic Department Manager to handle diverse, often confidential situations. This position is critical to the success of the Department of Psychology.

This position acts as Assistant to the Chair and provides general department support. The position supports the Chair in a wide range of activities including alumni relations, external relations, administration and ensuring continuity when there is an election of a new chair. Instructs new chairs on administrative regulations as well as departmental practices. The position assures that the governance of the Department of Psychology fulfills and complies with the requirements of the university and the department.

3. Capacity to work independently and exercise good judgement in making decisions and deciding what needs to be brought to the attention of the Chair.
