Position Summary:

This position is essential in sustaining, establishing and growing the brand of the Department of Economics and the Center for Research on the Wisconsin Economy (CROWE). This is accomplished through both digital and print media as well as through coordinating logistics for high impact public and VIP events through these platforms. The Center for Research on Wisconsin Economy (CROWE)'s goal is to support research to better understand the economic outcomes and the impacts of policies at the state-level, and provide a bridge to make this economic research accessible to policymakers, businesses, and community groups in Wisconsin and around the nation ( https://crowe.wisc.edu ). This position will work closely with the Director of CROWE and with staff and faculty across the Department of Economics.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree required - specialization in communications, public relations, journalism preferred.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

- Website maintenance and editing knowledge required;
- Prefer knowledge of WordPress;
- Social Media background strongly preferred;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across a variety of settings, platforms, and audiences;
- Event planning experience a plus;
- Excellent problem solving skills and flexibility with strong customer service background;
- Knowledge of or interest in learning about economic policies in Wisconsin; and
- Must have an interest in working with policymakers and donors.
