Established in 1837 and located approximately 20 miles north of Charlotte, NC near Lake Norman, Davidson College is consistently regarded as one of the top liberal arts colleges in the nation and competes in Division I athletics as a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference.

 

Professionals with strong collaboration and communication skills and an orientation toward philanthropy are encouraged to apply for this position.  The Director of Gift Planning is a leadership fundraising role responsible for managing all aspects of the gift planning program, including marketing and awareness efforts, personal relationship management, and gift planning consultation.  Extensive travel is required.

 

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required.  Minimum of three years related experience required. Requires familiarity with sophisticated financial, legal and philanthropic concepts. Fundraising experience with a record of successfully inspiring philanthropy is also preferred.
