The Center for Women's & Gender Studies at The University of Texas at Austin seeks to fill a Lecturer position in Women's & Gender Studies for academic year 2021-2022. We are particularly interested in scholars doing intersectional work on race, gender and/or sexuality. Additionally, those whose work engages one or more of the following fields are encouraged to apply:
African Diaspora feminisms
Asian Diaspora feminisms (with research interests in the Pacific Rim)
Indigenous Feminisms and Postcolonial Feminisms (with research interests in religious studies and gender located, East Asia, Latin America, Islam, or the borderlands)
Queer of Color Critique.
The recipient will teach six undergraduate and graduate WGS courses (3:3).
We are particularly interested in scholars doing intersectional work that engages one or more of the following fields: Gender and Health, Human Rights, Performance Studies, Queer Studies, especially those working in Media Studies and Queer of Color Critique, Critical Race Theory, and Transnational and Indigenous Feminisms.

Qualifications: A PhD and a record of teaching excellence are preferred. Experience teaching and/or conducting research in women's and gender studies courses are preferred. The successful candidate will demonstrate ability and interest in teaching core courses in our undergraduate and graduate programs.
