Scope/Supervision:

Reports to Administrative Specialist III

Assists in guiding and training student employees.

Position Overview:

The Customer Support Specialist, also referred to as Techceptionist, assists students, faculty, staff, clients, and guests in supporting the classrooms, labs, meeting spaces, and department during the day and evening hours. Primary duty includes greeting visitors and promptly respond to any issues with the facility, technology, and service. Duties may include preparing classrooms and meeting spaces to the customized or requested preferences. Excellent customer service and communication skills are a must!

The Techceptionist supports LX Studio’s reputation that offers excellent customer support for all activities at the downtown OKC locations as well as our online presence.

Department Specific Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, clients, and guests, including identifying their needs to help them use the facility, classroom, and technology to fit their needs.
  • Provides immediate on-site support to students, faculty, staff, business incubators, clients, and guests.
  • In collaboration with the department management team, identifies and resolves customer service needs and monitors user feedback.
  • Communicates day-to-day reception updates to Techceptionist support staff.
  • Collects feedback from students, faculty, staff, clients, and guests. Prepares reports, spreadsheets, and presentations of results.
  • Provide basic technical support for instructors in classroom settings.
  • Provide basic troubleshooting of any technology issues.
  • Assists with departmental operations.
  • Assists in descriptive, exploratory or experimental research, data collection, data management, data analysis, and create reports and spreadsheets.
  • Updates website content.
  • May be on-call contact for on-duty Techceptionists for troubleshooting IT and facility usage issues/concerns.
  • May work nights or weekends when needed.
  • Must be accountable and responsible to LX Studio.
  • Performs administrative tasks as directed by supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience Required:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in general education and one-year relevant experience in the field or, if no degree, 5+ years of relevant work experience in this field that provide knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
  • Ability to effectively operate in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Windows operating systems knowledge.
  • Literate in computer usage and word processing, including, but not limited to, MSWord and MSExcel.
  • Perform administrative or manual tasks.

  • Experience with web conferencing programs such as Zoom, Webex, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public relations skills.
