Working hours:

Monday-Friday 7:00 am-5:30 pm coverage
Occasional nights and weekends

Receive support requests via telephone, walk-in and email. Gather appropriate information
from the caller and utilize computerized call logging and assignment tracking software to create a call record of the request. Escalate as appropriate problems and services requests to appropriate TSC Support Specialists.

Direct users to information sources, including on- and off-campus web resources as needed.
Assist with information and documentation dissemination. Perform user access tasks, resetting user passwords. Operate as a member of a courteous, efficient and effective Technology Support Center.

Work with the Technology Support Center team to document Technology Support Center policies and procedures, maintain the Office of Technology knowledge base and assist with planning Technology Support Center goals and objectives. Work with other technicians within the Office of Technology on basic service duties and technology related troubleshooting. Learn and apply basic technology troubleshooting skills.

Technology, Business, or Communications related degree preferred.

Education may be substituted for experience or experience may be substituted for education. Note that equivalencies are based on the following: AA = 2 years experience; BA/BS = 4 years experience; MA/MS = 6 years experience; PhD = 8 years experience.

Computer Skills Word-Processing, Other - Ability to learn, understand, and manipulate applications that will be used on a daily basis, including call tracking systems and report writing. Experience

1. Two years’ experience providing customer service required.
2. One year experience supporting workstations in a in an enterprise environment required.
3. Classes, experience, or certifications in technology releated fields preferred.
