Position Summary

The Community Health Interventions Lab ( is looking for a research coordinator to support community-based research related to healthy food retail in lower-income and underserved communities. The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating data collection and managing research assistants for multiple research studies. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Research and Evaluation. This position will be based in the in the department of Community Health and Health Behavior within the School of Public Health and Health Professions

Specific responsibilities include:
• Manage the research participant recruitment and data collection process
• Oversee data collectors across projects including hiring, training, and schedule management
• Recruit and collect data from participants
• Assist with IRB applications, gift card processing and other study-related tasks

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2 years of research experience
• Occasional evening and weekend availability
• Occasional local and national travel
• Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage responsibilities on multiple projects, meet deadlines, and problem solve

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in public health or a related field
• Experience with research project management and/or data collection software
• Experience working with diverse populations
