The Assistant Vice Chancellor of Human Resources in partnership with the Vice Chancellor of Human Resources and University Administration plays a pivotal role in strategic leadership and implementing broad-based initiatives, programs and services with university wide impact. N.C. A&T is looking to add a forward-thinking professional to our team who can help us build our workforce, strengthen employee engagement and develop a high-performance culture. This individual will be responsible for providing coordination for talent management and employee engagement ensuring alignment with the University's vision, mission, and strategic goals. The Assistant Vice Chancellor of Human Resources as part of a transforming Human Resources organization will also lead the development, design, and implementation of high impact programs for talent acquisition, total rewards, wellness, diversity & inclusion initiatives, regulatory compliance and operational excellence. The candidate will cultivate strong, collaborative partnerships across the university, leverage trends and insights in human resources and demonstrate a measurable impact on our talent and organizational needs. The Assistant Vice Chancellor of Human Resources serve a critical role in driving the Faculty and Staff of the Future Initiative. This role provides operational oversight for the design and implementation of HR metrics and customer service level agreements to monitor and track customer satisfaction. The Assistant Vice Chancellor's key areas of functional oversight are: Talent Solutions, Compensation, Benefits, and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). The Assistant Vice Chancellor serves as a direct report to the Vice Chancellor for Human Resources and functions as the chief operational officer within the division and has full authority for decision-making in the absence of the Vice Chancellor. The position will manage the HR centers of expertise by managing an effective system for recruiting, developing and retaining high quality faculty and staff. Provide sound guidance on a variety of complex and sensitive personnel matters. These duties include the administration of HR policies and processes, employing best practices and market trends to promote HR's strategic objectives and ensure consistent delivery of the highest customer outcomes. The position will also develop the human resources function to incorporate proactive outreach, coaching, and solutions-oriented strategies to aid managers and supervisors in enhancing levels of employee engagement and satisfaction.
