About the Opportunity:
To meet the challenges of the university's continued growth and expansion, Northeastern is implementing Workday HR. HRIT is looking for a qualified Workday HCM QA/Test Analyst. This is a 1-year term appointment and could lead to a permanent position.
This role will verify that end to end system functionality, including interfaces, is working as per design and ready for UAT. You will work closely with Functional Leads and their Accenture consultant counterparts to ensure that test scenarios are executed correctly and defects are identified and managed through to resolution.
To be successful, you must demonstrate strong analysis, problem-solving, and time management skills and will have experience in working with complex data resulting from a decentralized environment with varied business processes.

Responsibilities:
Testing

  • Responsible for testing HR functional areas including: Core HCM, Recruiting, Onboarding, Compensation, Time Tracking & Absence, Payroll, Security, Reporting and Interfaces

  • Collaborate with HRIT project analysts and Functional Leads to understand requirements, configuration and test scripts.

  • Executes test scenarios per project timeline in each test phase: unit testing, end-to-end testing, user acceptance testing, parallel testing and regression testing.

  • Log defects identified, manage resolution process, and work with project team to re-test/validate fixes once available

  • Work with Functional Leads to confirm successful execution of test scripts
  • Audit HR data to validate test results and data conversions

  • Communicate risks/issues related to test execution to Test Lead

  • Maintain highest level of confidentiality of all data and information

    Training

  • Provide screen shots and configuration details to support the development of training materials

    Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human Resources or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in HCM functional areas including: Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Time Tracking & Absence, Payroll - Workday/HR ERP systems preferred

  • Ability to work cross functionally

  • Highly motivated, flexible team player with the ability to deliver in a timely and professional manner

  • Good understanding of HCM business processes

  • Good understanding of integrations and data flows with third-party systems

  • Experience in working in test teams on large and complex ERP projects

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to take initiative and work independently

  • Proven ability to manage competing tasks, meet deadlines and multi-task in a high-volume environment

  • Excellent planning and time management skills

  • High level of attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness

  • Demonstrate professional presence and positive energy

  • Prior experience in higher education is a plus
