NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing (also known as NYU Meyers) is seeking a visionary researcher/leader to serve as its next Vice Dean for Research.

Research is central to NYU Meyers, a leading top ten ranked nursing research institution for more than a decade. NYU Meyers faculty are at the forefront of their scholarly disciplines and have internationally recognized programs of funded research on aging and chronic conditions, self-management of symptoms, reducing maternal mortality and precision health, and nursing-related health services research among other areas.  Nursing at NYU has a long and distinguished history of generating knowledge and educating scholars and health system leaders who have transformed the way nursing is practiced and NYU Meyers is positioned to assume an even more prominent global leadership role in the coming years. As an eminent college within New York University, a top university in the country’s and the world’s most dynamic city, and a truly global university with activity on six continents, NYU Meyers is positioned for continued growth in scholarship and global research.

The NYU Meyers Vice Dean for Research (VDR) will play a crucial role in the continued expansion of the College’s research profile and its collaborations in the coming years. The VDR leads the College’s research enterprise, managing a team of research staff that includes a full-time administrator to provide pre-and post-award services, management of sponsored program funds, and comprehensive support for the scholarly activities of faculty, doctoral students, and post-doctoral trainees. As a key member of the Dean’s Leadership Team at NYU Meyers, the VDR leads collaborative efforts with research leaders across NYU including the NYU Vice Provost for Research. The role involves developing and managing strong relationships with faculty and researchers within the university and with leading researchers at universities and colleges globally. The NYU Meyers VDR has strong relationships with federal funding agency program officers and other key stakeholders in the funding process and oversees the Meyers Biological Laboratory.  A complete list of current research centers and grants can be found at: https://nursing.nyu.edu/research.
