Technology Support Analyst

Primary Purpose of Position:
The primary purpose of the position is to serves as a Technical Support Analyst in the support division of CCES. The position provides support and troubleshooting for technology equipped classrooms across campus, in addition to conference rooms and other common areas with instructional technology-based configurations. This position has a special focus on online and remote classroom technology that provides instruction to students both on and off campus. It also includes a large component of future planning and research of new and emerging technologies.


Minimum Education/Experience:
Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline and one year of experience in the information technology field related to the area of assignment; or bachelor’s degree and one year of experience in the information technology field related to the area of assignment; or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The successful candidate must possess a working knowledge of Extron and Cisco software management; knowledge of campus Desktop systems; knowledge of hardware systems; knowledge of standard software packages (i.e. Microsoft Office) Applications; ability to manage classroom technologies through Extron, Cisco, and other management consoles; ability to effectively communicate technical information to a potentially non-technical audience; ability to work independently with little or no supervision; to take initiative to see projects and assignments through to completion; to learn, interpret and analyze information to make necessary decisions; to exercise judgment and discretion in problem solving; to plan, prioritize and organize workflow; ability to work flexible schedules; excellent analytical and organizational skills along with written communication; great interpersonal skills to interact effectively and diplomatically with a wide range of individuals in a high pressure environment.
