Primary Purpose of Position:
The primary purpose of the position is to plan, develop, implement, audit and maintain all budgetary activity within the Division of Academic Affairs. This position is responsible for oversee the budget of 335 million across multiple funding sources. In addition, the position will assist and provide analysis of department(s) budgets and position funding/tracking. Perform budget analysis/forecasting, position budget maintenance, specialized reports, and related duties as assigned.


Minimum Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance or other discipline related to the area of assignment with 12 credit hours of accounting
coursework and three years of progressive accounting experience, one of which must have been supervisory in nature; or equivalent combination of
training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The successful candidate must possess a working knowledge of Banner Finance or an equivalent system; knowledge of fiscal management policies, systemic internal controls, finance and business acumen; knowledge of financial management, budgeting and accounting management; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Applications; ability to work independently with little or no supervision; to take initiative to see projects and assignments through to completion; to learn, interpret and analyze information to make necessary decisions; to exercise judgment and discretion in problem solving; to plan, prioritize and organize workflow; ability to work flexible schedules; excellent analytical and organizational skills along with written and oral communication; great interpersonal skills to interact effectively and diplomatically with a wide range of individuals in a high pressure environment.
