Office of Admission—Multiple Positions

The Positions

Knox seeks outgoing, results-oriented individuals to join the admission team. You’ll work within a recruitment territory—in the U.S. and/or internationally—to achieve a high level of visibility for the College; identify and recruit well-matched candidates for admission; build relationships with high school counselors, educational consultants, and alumni; and assist students and their parents in applying for admission and financial aid. You’ll implement on-campus, off-campus, and virtual recruitment activities; conduct interviews and information sessions; evaluate applications for admission; and actively engage interested students via phone, text, email, video, and face-to-face to achieve enrollment goals. Travel may be required up to 10-12 weeks per year.

Admission Counselor—Two Year Term Position

This is a term position through June of 2023. Designed for a recent college graduate looking for meaningful employment before continuing on to graduate school or advanced employment opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel up to 10-12 weeks per year
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and public speaking abilities; and talent for developing relationships with a variety of constituencies
  • Experience with and passion for creating virtual engagement, social media, video, digital communications, and online events
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to adapt to a changing work environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in direct sales, digital communications, or college admission

In addition, the successful candidate will:

  • Be dedicated to and articulate the value of a liberal arts education
  • Be committed to inclusion and diversity in college admission

 

Admission Counselor or Assistant Director of Admission

This opportunity is perfect for entry level, career-oriented individuals or seasoned professionals with college admission, direct sales and marketing, or digital communications experience. Applicants with 3-5 years of experience will be considered for the title of Assistant Director.

Professionals with 3-5 years of experience will be considered for the title of Assistant Director.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel up to 10-12 weeks per year
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and public speaking abilities; and talent for developing relationships with a variety of constituencies

Assistant or Associate Director of International Admission

You’ll provide leadership and work as part of an international recruitment team, developing and implementing plans to achieve a high level of visibility for the College around the world. Prior experience in international admission or international college advising is expected. Title will be commensurate with experience

Assistant or Associate Director title will be commensurate with experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Previous experience in international admission or college advising
  • Experience living, studying, or working internationally
  • Experience with and passion for creating virtual engagement, social media, video, digital communications, and online events
  • Valid driver’s license and passport
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and public speaking abilities; and talent for developing relationships with a variety of constituencies
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in a second language
