Academic General Internal Medicine Physician (3-309-1084)
The General Internal Medicine Division of the Department of Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine seeks a General Internal Medicine physician to serve at the University of Maryland Midtown Health Center, an ambulatory practice at the University of Maryland Medical Center-Midtown Campus (UMMC- MTC). Clinical responsibilities will include managing a panel of patients in primary care as well as participating in call coverage with other members of the team. The successful candidate will practice with a multi-disciplinary approach alongside other service providers to optimize patient experiences and outcomes.
This position will also provide educational supervision and oversight to medical students and residents as the site serves as the ambulatory continuity practice for the UMMC-MTC Internal Medicine residency. Finally, this position will engage in community outreach and patient education as well as participate in service projects to increase visibility and benefit to the community.
Candidates must be board certified/eligible in internal medicine and eligible for an unrestricted license to practice medicine the State of Maryland. This position requires a medical degree from a recognized accredited domestic university (or foreign equivalent), a strong commitment to patient care and teaching, and the ability to work well in a team setting. Expected faculty rank will be Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank, tenure status, and salary will be commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experiences.
