Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job

The Department of Management, Marketing, and Information Systems at Sam Houston State University ( SHSU ) is seeking applicants for a tenure track position in Human Resource Management for Fall 2021. Duties will include teaching, both face-to-face and on-line, undergraduate and graduate courses in the area of human resources. Applicants are expected to conduct research and publish in scholarly journals, and provide services to the department, college, university, and appropriate national organizations. Applicants should have a doctoral degree granted or nearly completed (i.e., ABD ). We seek individuals who are excellent teachers, and who can bring experience-based credibility to the classroom while also advancing the increasing research reputation of the department and the college. Qualified as Scholarly Academic under AACSB standards (as defined by SHSU’s COBA ) and ability to maintain that qualification.

Educational Requirements for the Position

PhD Management from an AACSB accredited university; ABD considered.

Experience Required for the Position

Candidate must have classroom experience. Industry experience is a plus.

Other Requirements for the Position

Individual will teach 9 hours per long semester, engage in research, and support the college through service. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to publish in peer reviewed journals.
