The School of Social Work at NKU announces the availability of an Assistant Professor, tenure-track position.
• teaching undergraduate and graduate courses;
• working collaboratively with colleagues;
• engaging in scholarly activity;
• engaging in community and university service;
• participating in outreach activities.
Required qualifications include: 1) an MSW from a CSWE -accredited program, 2) an earned doctorate in social work or a related field ( ABD considered with confirmed completion date), 3) teaching interests in social work practice, (with a minimum of two years post-masters practice experience), research, and/or policy, 4) the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, 5) a history of or potential to engage in scholarly activity, 6) willingness to engage in community and university service, 7) willingness to participate in outreach activities, 8) demonstrated experience working effectively with diverse populations, and 9) demonstrated sensitivity to cross cultural perspectives and experiences. Preferred qualifications include: 1) experience and engagement with community-based projects and 2) experience teaching undergraduate and graduate courses. The position is tenure track, nine months, with competitive salary and possible summer employment.
