Seton Hall’s College of Education and Human Services invites applicants for the position of visiting assistant professor of Quantitative Methods in the Department of Education Leadership, Management and Policy. This full-time, nine-month appointment is for the 2021-22 academic year, beginning August 15, 2021.

14 miles from New York City. It is the oldest Catholic diocesan
institution of higher education in the United States, and its
Carnegie classification is doctoral/high research activity. It is

The Department of Education Leadership, Management and Policy
offers M.A., Ed.S., Ed.D., and Ph.D. programs for students who seek
educational leadership, policy, and research positions in K-12 and

Required Qualifications:
- We are seeking engaging and motivated candidates who exhibit a passion for both quantitative methods and teaching quantitative methods in an accessible way to students who enter the program with a wide range of experience and comfort with statistical methods.
- Required qualifications:
- An earned doctorate in educational leadership, educational policy, public policy, or a related field by September 1, 2021
- Demonstrated expertise in statistical methodology
- Skill using Stata/SPSS and Microsoft Excel to perform statistical methods
- Knowledge of applications of quantitative methodology in education research and administration
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex statistical concepts to a lay audience
- Skill in oral and written communications
- Demonstrated ability to work with students with varying baseline ability in quantitative methods
- There is a possibility that some courses will be held in an off-campus location, which will require the candidates to travel to that location to teach
