Assistant Research Officer in the Centre for Advancement of Chinese Language Education and Research (CACLER) within the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 504183), to commence on August 1, 2021 for one month until August 31, 2021.

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in Education or a related field, preferably with specialism in curriculum and pedagogy, and experience in conducting qualitative researches. Familiarity with the literature and good knowledge of Hong Kong education policies in socio-political context is an advantage. They should have excellent writing proficiency in English and demonstrated ability in writing up research findings for both academic and general audiences. They should also be self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently and within a team. Strong analytical and organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple complex duties with close attention to details are essential.

The appointee will assist the Project Investigators to analyze the collected data and write up report(s) and paper(s) for an international comparative case study of Hong Kong across several high-performing learning systems around the world, and perform other duties as assigned.
