University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We're responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.

Position Summary:

Temporary, “non-exempt”, benefited full time position through June 30, 2022 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance). One position available.

Pay Range:

$5,000-6,666.67 per month

San Bernardino, CA

Work Schedule

40 hours per week. Schedule to be arranged, but typically, Monday-Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm though some nights, weekend work may be required. Incumbent must be able to participate in remote or on campus work depending on the directives from the CSUSB campus.

Typical Activities

  • Under minimal supervision of the Executive Director, the Pathway to Logistics Manager will work independently to:
  • Manage the tactical plan and community partnerships.
    • Attend meetings of the Pathways Subcommittees (Industry Involvement, Outreach and Marketing, Curriculum, Steering).
    • Attend meetings of the overall Pathway.
  • Outreach to and develop relationships with regional transportation and logistics companies.
  • Outreach to develop relationships with regional high schools and community colleges that have (or wish to develop) programs in logistics.
  • Implementation of Industry Engagement Plan to engage local high schools (and middle school students in the future).
  • Fundraise to get industry involvement and support.
  • Increase the number of graduates from a Pathway to Logistics program to 1,000 Inland Empire high school students by 2030.
  • Work on articulation of course work between local high schools, community colleges, and CSUSB.
  • Implement the Pathway to Logistics Ambassador Program which would train CSUSB Masters and Undergraduate students to be mentors, provide special lectures, and interact with high school students.
  • Data collection.
  • Develop a “train the teacher” program for high school instructors interested in teaching logistics.
  • Expand CTE (career technical education) credential program/recruit new teachers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Master's Degree
  • Experience: 2 years related experience and at least 6 months experience supervising others. Connections with industry groups around logistics and supply chain. Experience working in teams and networking. Comfortable meeting new people and making new connections. Experience working in an educational environment.
  • Other: A successful candidate will be able to show critical and independent decision-making skills; a passion to work for a developing organization that has a mission of community engagement, research, and education; strong communication skills; and an understanding of the administrative protocols for CSUSB state side and UEC.

  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred degree in MBA/Supply Chain
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Familiar with InDesign
