Department Summary

The Jack H. Brown College MBA program is AASCB accredited and offers high-quality faculty, relevant curriculum, convenient class times and affordability! The JHBC MBA program is designed to prepare promising students for positions of increasing responsibility and leadership through education in the broad scope of business.

Job Summary

Employment Status: Full-time, Exempt, Temporary position

The primary purpose of the MBA Recruiter is to represent, market, recruit for, and grow the JHBC Traditional, Executive, and Executive Online programs. The MBA Recruiter must present a polished and professional image for the JHBC MBA program.

Marketing

  • Market and promote the MBA Traditional, Executive, and Executive Online programs.

  • Develop an annual program marketing strategy and budget.

  • Write and design marketing and recruiting materials for print and online publication.

  • Design, develop, and execute effective marketing strategies and campaigns for social media, web, print, and other communication channels.

  • Maintain and update the MBA website.

  • Attracts applicants by placing advertisements and posting content on social media platforms, newsgroups, and websites.

  • Develop student surveys and analyze results to determine MBA market trends.

  • Develop and support alumni engagement activities.

Recruitment

  • Communicate and respond to inquiries from potential MBA students in a timely fashion to increase number of students enrolling in MBA programs.

  • Build community partnerships by researching and contacting community organizations and services, colleges and universities, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; provide organization information, opportunities, and benefits to community partners; make presentations; maintain relationships and rapport with community and university partners.

  • Coordinate MBA Information Sessions and give presentations on the program.

  • Work with the Graduate Admissions, Center for International Studies & Programs (CISP) Admissions, College of Extended & Global Education (CEGE), Veterans Success, Alumni Affairs and various other university offices as needed to increase recruitment results.

  • In partnership with the MBA director, development metrics and goals for MBA program student recruitment.

Admissions

  • Provide weekly updates to director, coordinator, applicants, and partners on student application status, missing documentation, deadlines, and next steps in the process.

  • Coordinate and manage supplemental application materials, including GMAT/GRE, resume, statement of purpose, and resume.

  • Interview applicants to the MBA programs and the primary university representative.

  • Coordinate student files.

  • Maintain familiarity with domestic and international admission requirements.

  • Review student records, transcripts, and application status.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Talent Acquisition: *The initial review of applications will begin on May 19, 2021.


Work Schedule

Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; weekends, evenings, and overnight travel may be required. May work a modified 4/10 schedule during the summer months.

Key Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work at all levels in a large and diverse public university.

  • Experience with preparing professional reports, proposals, and presentations.

  • Experience with developing assessment tools, conducting data analysis, developing and implementing continuous improvement plans.

  • Able to plan and organize work schedule and work independently as well as in a team.

  • Current industry knowledge and experience with running online marketing strategies, specifically social media, web marketing campaigns, and SEO; graphic design skills preferred.

  • Must have reliable transportations and be able to travel independently for student recruitment events.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or similar field required AND five (5) years of experience as a program recruiter for a major college or university.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations is preferred.

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced sales environment in a highly competitive market.

Salary:

Anticipated Hiring Range:$55,000 - $65,000

Classification Salary Range: $42,180 - $76,296
