Full-time, Professional/Managerial position, eligible for fringe benefits.  Salary range is $48,000 to $52,000 per year.  Position will coordinate the College’s efforts to obtain grant funding. Essential functions include ability to identify funding opportunities and develop viable proposals for external funding of initiatives which address educational priorities and goals. Position will work with units across the College to assess needs, develop strategies for applications, and provide technical assistance to faculty and staff.

Position is responsible for preparing and compiling components of grant submissions ensuring that proposal is submitted in accordance with granting agency requirement. Position provides grant opportunity information to faculty and staff including strategies for submission and preparation of proposals and budgets. Establish networks with representatives from other colleges, school districts, and funding sources including but not limited to industry groups, higher education organizations, professional associations, Illinois Community College Board, area legislators, foundations, etc.

Requires Bachelor’s degree in a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred along with 3 years of experience in successful private, corporate, or government grant applications. Candidate must have knowledge of planning, curriculum, evaluation, grant writing, research methods, and potential funding sources.  Requires ability to translate College priorities into proposals that have a high probability of external funding. Position requires high level of professionalism, collaboration talents, and interpersonal skills so as to be able to work well with employees at all levels within the College, motivate faculty and staff to pursue funding opportunities, and develop effective external networks. Excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, ability to balance multiple projects, and have strong time management skills. Occasional evening and weekend hours to execute functions in a timely and professional manner.
