Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applications for a temporary Instructor in the Mathematics department. This position is for the 2021-2022 academic year and is a one year appointment.

The candidate would be expected to teach 12 credits of undergraduate statistics and mathematics courses each semester and maintain an active research program.

Strong candidates from all areas of statistics and data science are encouraged to apply.

The Department of Mathematics consists of 12 full-time faculty representing diverse mathematical interests, and serves approximately 100 undergraduate majors seeking degrees in mathematics, statistics, or mathematics and education.

Doctoral degree, ABD candidates may be considered with degree completion expected by date of employment

Other Requirements:
Doctorate degree in statistics, mathematics or closely related field.


Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in statistics with a strong interest in data science or statistical consulting.

Knowledge in R and the ability to teach casual inference from observed or experimental data.
