Position Summary

Trinity College in Hartford CT, an NCAA Division III, liberal arts college in the New England Small College Athletic Conference ( NESCAC ), is seeking to fill a full-time, non-faculty head coach position for our Women’s Golf program. Trinity established its program in Fall of 2018 and has played competitively in the NESCAC conference and the New England region. The candidate will be expected to help the program continue to grow and compete at the highest level in NCAA division III women’s golf.

The Trinity College Department of Athletics is committed to creating a community of belonging, acceptance, respect, and understanding of differences for our entire athletic family. In addition to the Athletics Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion ( DEI ) Committee, which meets on a weekly basis and is comprised of administrators, coaches, student-athletes, and other campus partners, the department focuses affecting change in our community and the broader Trinity student body in order to create safe spaces for underrepresented and marginalized groups, dismantle systemic racism, and develop allyship through dedicated education, training, dialogue, and action.

Trinity College seeks a staff that reflects the changing demographics of our student body. Our student body is diverse, representing 41 states and 70 countries, with 21 percent U.S. students of color and 50 percent who identify as women. More than 90 percent of students live on campus. Trinity is a highly selective, independent, nonsectarian liberal arts institution located in the capital city of Hartford, Conn. With more than 2,100 full-time undergraduate students and 91 graduate students, the college maintains a rigorous academic profile complemented by a vibrant and diverse co-curricular program. We consider our location in a culturally and socioeconomically diverse capital city to be among Trinity’s most distinctive assets, and we cultivate strong connections with our surrounding neighbors and with institutions and organizations throughout Hartford and the region. As a preeminent liberal arts college in an urban setting, Trinity College prepares students to be bold, independent thinkers who lead transformative lives.

Responsibilities
In addition to all coaching, recruiting, budgeting, and team management responsibilities, the head coach will also assist with the implementation of Trinity’s new Wellness Curriculum, perform a secondary duty as assigned, assist with event management, and be expected to serve on department and/or college committees. This position also requires both night and weekend availability throughout the academic year.
