The Department of History at the University of Florida in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences invites applications for a nine-month, non-tenure-accruing position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor, beginning August 16, 2021 in the field of U.S. History. Applicants will have a Ph.D. or complete the Ph.D. by August 15, 2021. The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, and includes a full benefits package.
The Visiting Assistant Professor will teach already scheduled courses in the American Civil War and U.S. Women’s History, preferably a course in Indigenous history, as well as an American history course of their choosing in the 2021-22 academic year. We seek applicants with significant teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
