Responsibilities:
The Executive Director, Creative Experiences and Digital Engagement is a strategic and innovative leader and content producer. They will create a comprehensive strategy for the creation of experiences and programs to support the fundraising, donor recognition, and high-level engagement efforts of University Advancement and the wider university. They will take a holistic approach to creating impactful creative experiences and events, with an eye toward rethinking traditional engagement, event, and recognition strategies. The Executive Director will analyze data and trends in order to implement new and innovative ways to expand and enhance experiences and engagement and will make data-driven decisions to inform their work. This will include creating and delivering standout experiences that engage donors, alumni, and friends of the university.

Utilizing best-in-class digital platforms and technology, the Executive Director will produce creative and meaningful virtual or hybrid events, with an eye toward creating the most engaging and impactful experience for all participants. They will act as a functional lead for experiences and maintain an expertise on digital platforms and associated technology in order to ensure flawless production. The Executive Director will oversee content creation, guest management, volunteer management, speaker curation, on-site execution, and post-event analysis and reporting.

The Executive Director will lead the division's efforts in creating engaging and high-impact experiences and events related to the Northeastern's fundraising campaigns and other similar efforts and/or strategic initiatives on behalf of University Advancement and the Office of the President.

This position is not available for remote work.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • At least ten (10) years of experience in event management/hospitality in the field with increasing responsibility and proven results.
  • Demonstrated mastery of digital platforms and technologies that enable virtual experiences and event creation.
  • Experience working with business communication platforms.
  • Ability to analyze data and trends and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to create strategic and engaging virtual experiences and events.
  • Creative and innovative.
  • Understanding of fundraising/development, campaign management, and/or institutional advancement preferred.
  • Ability to travel and work nights and weekends as need be.
