About the Opportunity:
The primary role of the Leave of Absence Assistant is to provide daily support to the Leave Management team with a variety of leaves such as FMLA, medical or family leave. The leave of Absence Assistant is responsible for handling the initial requests for leaves of absences e.g., phone, efax, email, ServiceNow, case set up and general day-to-day administrative transactions for leaves of absence.

This is a 15 month term position with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities:
The primary role of the Leave of Absence Assistant is to provide daily support to the Leave Management team.

  • Responsible for handling the initial requests for leaves of absences e.g., phone, efax, email, ServiceNow, case set up and general day-to-day administrative transactions for leaves of absence.

  • Organizes and maintains the case database and other databases in a confidential manner.

  • Confirm employees return to work and update applicable systems.

  • Provide customer support for general questions related to leaves of absences.

  • Maintains and periodically audits electronic and hard copy files.
  • Provide regular utilization reports and administration that is consistent, timely and accurate.

  • Any other assigned projects.

    Qualifications:
    Two years of college coursework in business, human resources or related subject area required; a Bachelor's degree and knowledge of leave laws is a plus. Must have demonstrated organizational skills and strong attention to detail, follow through and responsiveness, as well and demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. Excellent communications skills are required, both written and verbal. Computer skills: Excel, Word and experience with ServiceNow and Banner a plus.
