Position Summary:
The Training Resource Center (TRC) Curriculum Media Group (CMG) Web Developer designs, develops and implements the University Training Consortium (UTC) websites and custom web applications and customizes the web user interfaces of the various systems. The incumbent collaborates with the TRC IT personnel on the support and further development of the websites and learning management platforms. The incumbent brings knowledge about best web practices, web accessibility guidelines and emerging technologies as well as online course development best practices.
The employee participates in usability efforts to continuously evaluate and improve the online user experience, ensuring that UTC/CMG resources and services provide a positive experience for training participants.
The employee executes assigned projects, provides excellent customer service, keeps up-to-date and makes recommendations regarding new technologies.

Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s Degree is required.

Minimum Experience:
One year of web development experience.

Web content management systems, UTC software and systems, productivity applications, knowledge of emerging technologies and their application in libraries

Special Instructions Summary:
The Training Resource Center (TRC) provides Administrative and Training Support Services to the Department for Community Based Services. The funding is in whole or part from federal, CHFS or other state funds and subject to annual renewal. This is a contract EKU position based in Richmond. Remote work is a possibility.
