Position Summary:
The incumbent will serve as the lead instructor of record EKU Emergency Medical Care Resuscitation Seminars, which are two-day courses resulting in American Heart Association professional-level CPR/BLS certification courses delivered through high-fidelity simulation. These courses are generally held on weekends throughout the fall and spring semesters.
The individual is responsible for syllabus development & grading, classroom/lab equipment set-up, course delivery, and post-course cleanup and repair of equipment. The individual is responsible for overall classroom management, student remediation, compliance with all applicable American Heart Association & University policies, and for supervision of assistant Resuscitation Science Instructors.


Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Current certification as an AHA BLS Instructor. Current experience as an EMT, Paramedic, or RN.


Desired Qualifications:
Experience using mid and high fidelity clinical simulation equipment.
