Assists the Associate Director of the Knight Foundation School of Computer Science in the day-to-day administrative operations of the academic programs and other strategic initiatives. Works with University and outside units to enhance services to students. Works in a team-based collaborative environment to develop programs and meet changing needs of the School, its students, potential employees, and high school/college collaborators. Partners with internal and external constituents.

  • Assists the Director and Associate Director of the  Knight Foundation School of Computer Science in the planning of academic and non-academic programs.
  • Prepares each semester course schedule. Inputs the information in the University system and processes all classroom/room requests to space and scheduling department. Submits request for Adjuncts and Overloads contracts to the Deans Office for submission to HR. Maintains pertinent records of these actions.
  • Submits credentialing requests for teaching faculty prior to assigning courses.
  • Coordinates and organizes program reviews/assessments with SACS, ABET, and other agencies. Collects data from faculty and inputs faculty submission data on the reporting system. Partners with the Office of Institutional Effectiveness to complete the necessary data for the SACS Report. Tracks and maintains pertinent records.
  • Responsible for managing the Academic Integrity/Grievance processes.
  • Coordinates dual enrollment and online programs as well as the International programs. Serves as liaison between the School and Online Department. Ensure IDs are active and faculty utilize Instructional Designers.
  • Partners with the School administration, faculty and students to ensure proper assignment of Lab Assistants, Graders and Learning Assistants (LA). Handles requests from Faculty and Students. Submits hiring requests to the Deans Office for submission to HR.
  • Support School administrators in the collection of data and submission of the annual CRA report for the School.
  • Works with the Associate Director, Graduate Program Director, Graduate Advisor, and Graduate Program Specialist to ensure the smooth operation and growth of the graduate program, efficient processing of graduate issues, and maintenance of School processes and procedures.
  • Supervises School staff, which includes defining job duties, setting performance development plans and goals, conducting annual performance reviews and assisting with the implementation of organizational and operational decisions.
  • Supports School Director with data collection for the faculty evaluations, faculty assignments and other communications with faculty.
  • Interprets program policies and procedures and recommending new and improved programs to effectively manage program administration.
  • Coordinates submission of ICA Semester Report. Engage with School faculty and Network Manager to ensure compliance.
  • Partners with the School Diversity and Inclusion Committee to submit updated goals/metrics, and outcome data to the Office of Civil Rights, Compliance, and Accessibility.
  • Reviews Student Perceptions of Teaching (SPOT) evaluations surveys. Discuss results with School leadership and faculty.
  • Collects faculty performance data and shares it with School Director and Associate Director to assist in determining course assignment/teaching load.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of appropriate experience, or Master's degree and two (2) years of experience.

  • Experience and/or educational knowledge in computing & information sciences academic program(s).
