Chief Objective of Position

The Recruitment Coordinator manages existing relationships and develops new leads and engagement opportunities with and for employer and graduate school recruiters. The Coordinator plans, markets, and executes recruiting events such as fairs, information sessions, and interviews, as well as campaigns to publicize employer/graduate school recruiting opportunities. The Coordinator oversees projects related to social media and implements regular tracking and reporting of marketing/engagement analytics. The Coordinator will also coach students to articulate the value of their CNU liberal arts education through appointments and programming on career topics such as branding and networking.

Work Tasks

Conduct Employer Outreach Functions:
*Manage existing relationships with employers and graduate school recruiters;
*Develop leads for new relationships according to the employer relations strategic plan and reach out to recruiters to encourage their participation in student engagement activities;
*Assist employers in building their brands on campus and organize recruiting activities/events;
*Utilize technology systems to carry out employer relations activities including entering and approving new employer and graduate school recruiter accounts and job postings in Handshake;
*Promote the value of a CNU liberal arts to all employer and graduate school recruiters;
*Support and enforce student recruiting policies and professional association standards.

Create and Track Content/Marketing:
*Develop marketing campaigns for recruiting activities/events and employer/grad school opportunities to increase student participation/engagement and applications through Handshake;
*Design communication about CNU and CCP to send to potential and existing recruiting partners;
*Establish and maintain a marketing strategy for CCP that includes existing and new content creation methods;
*Regularly update and disseminate information on events and services to CNU constituencies like the President’s Leadership Program and Residence Life staff;
*Supervise intern projects: Canva creation, social media posting, email template building, spotlight videos, etc.;
*Complete regular tracking and reporting on marketing campaign and social media engagement;
*Maintain and update electronic resources like the website, Handshake Resource Library, blog, and video library, etc.

Educate and Support Students:
*Present workshops on branding, LinkedIn, networking, etc.;
*Prepare students for recruiting events, including educating on professional etiquette;
*Teach students how to use career-related technology including Handshake, LinkedIn, Big Interview, etc.;
*Review and offer feedback on resumes, cover letters, interview responses, Handshake/LinkedIn profiles, etc.;
*Support students of diverse backgrounds including helping students evaluate opportunities and organizations.

Support the CCP and CNU Community:
*Engage faculty and staff, alumni, parents, in events that increase awareness and usage of the Center;
*Assist Internship Coordinator, employers, and faculty and staff with development of internship promotion;
*Communicate effectively with staff in organizing and coordinating employer recruitment events;
*Develop and maintain very positive and professional customer service and relations within the university and with all constituencies to include students, faculty, staff, administrators, other employees, other agency personnel and community members;
*Participate in webinars, conferences, and site-visits with industry colleagues to remain current on trends in career planning, hiring, and higher education;
*This position is designated as a “responsible employee” who has the authority to redress sexual violence, who has the duty to report incidents of sexual violence or other student misconduct, or who a student could reasonably believe has this authority or duty;
*Develop and maintain very positive and professional customer service and/or relations within the office/department and with all constituencies to include students, faculty, staff, guests, and employees.
*Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude and treat everyone with dignity and respect. Fully support the “Student’s First” value at CNU and routinely goes the extra mile in providing service;
*Review and communicate safety issues to assure a safe and healthy workplace and a reduction in work related absence;
*Maintain comprehensive knowledge of career services and best practices including employer relations and recruitment methodologies, and the application of technology in the delivery of services;
*Ensure all University rules, policies, regulations, and internal customer service expectations are followed;
*Serve on University committees and attend various CNU functions; and other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of hiring and employment trends, work settings, undergraduate life, career development, and patterns of higher education. Knowledge of effective interviewing skills and approaches. Strong counseling/coaching skills. Ability to organize and analyze data using advanced functions of work processing and spreadsheets including formulas and mail merge. Ability to present to large audiences in a professional and articular manner. Knowledge of the rules, regulations, ethical standards and laws relating to interviewing and employment. Familiarity and understanding of the liberal arts curriculum. Ability to effectively navigate job search web tools such as LinkedIn and Indeed.com. An understanding of adolescent/college age perspectives and developmental tasks. Attention to detail and ability to work in a collaborative atmosphere with competing priorities.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA's) preferred

*Familiarity and understanding of the liberal arts curriculum and the ability to articulate the value of a liberal arts education;
*Ability to organize and analyze data using advanced functions of word processing and spreadsheets including formulas and mail merge; and
*Knowledge of the rules, regulations, ethical standards and laws relating to interviewing and employment.

Required Education

Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Counseling, Student Personnel Services, Business or related area or Bachelor’s Degree in related field and experience that equates to an advanced degree.

Preferred Education

 

Experience Required

*Experience building relationships with a variety of constituents;
*Demonstrated use of content creation and tracking software;
*Project management/communication strategy experience;
*Experience with copywriting and editing.

Experience Preferred

*Demonstrated evidence of experience in planning and executing large-scale events;
*Experience coaching students;
*Experience designing, developing and implementing workshops and/or seminars;
*Experience utilizing electronic job search databases and online recruitment systems (ex. Handshake);
*Experience working with college student populations and/or in the field of higher education.
