Job Summary

Instruct students in lecture and/or lab for either Fundamental of Astronomy or Astronomy

Required Qualifications

Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Astronomy or Physics
Computer literacy including ability to communicate and develop teaching materials and enter grades electronically
Familiarity with the use of appropriate computer software
Fluency in written and oral communications
Familiarity with the use and care of telescopes and related equipment
One year of college-level teaching experience in astronomy or physics is required

Preferred Qualifications

Master's or Doctorate degree in Astronomy or Physics
Community college teaching experience in astronomy or physics is preferred
