Position Summary

Teaching responsibilities, which may include both undergraduate and graduate courses, will be primarily in the Exercise Science and Clinical Exercise Physiology programs. Our new colleague will have expertise to teach courses in one or more of the following areas: clinical physiology, physiology of exercise, advanced cardiac life support, phase 1 and 2 cardiac rehabilitation rotations, laboratory techniques, current research trends in kinesiology and/or statistics. There is an expectation for this individual to engage in scholarship and supervise multiple student projects and theses. There will be some service and academic advising assigned each semester.

The Department of Exercise and Sport Science at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse is searching for someone to join our team! We are seeking applicants for a nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor position that will begin on August 30, 2021. The Department of Exercise and Sport Science supports and values diversity in its faculty, staff, and students. Required Qualifications

Candidates for the appointment should have or be near to completing a doctorate degree in Exercise Science or a related field by the start date. Degree must be earned by the first personnel review, no later than May 15, 2022.

Candidates must have demonstrated expertise specifically related to clinical exercise physiology and/or patients with co-morbid conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates who have classroom/teaching experience

Preference will be given to candidates with an established history of scholarly productivity

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience mentoring graduate student projects or theses
