Instructor/Assistant Professor of Modern Languages (Non-Tenure Track)
Ferrum College is seeking applications for the non-tenure track faculty position of Instructor/Assistant Professor of Modern Languages beginning in the 2021-2022 academic year. The successful applicant will be a dynamic, student-focused teacher who is capable of teaching introductory and intermediate-level language and culture instruction in Spanish and another modern language (preferably a critical language). Preference will be given to the candidate who demonstrates an ability to interact with diverse audiences and who are able to incorporate innovative, inclusive pedagogies and technology into their teaching. The successful candidate is expected to collaborate effectively with other academic disciplines across the campus, engage in community activities with local organizations, serve on division and college committees, advise and mentor students, and engage in curricular review and ongoing professional development.
