Bowdoin College features a rich and full schedule of events sponsored for the campus and greater community. The Event Technology Coordinator serves as a member of the Events & Summer Programs team responsible for leading the College’s audio and video system support for events. They serve as an important contact and consultant for faculty, staff and students in the planning, advancing and production of events across campus. They provide multi-platform support in the areas of audio and image reinforcement, live broadcast, video recording and lighting. Education/Skills Requirements
Required: 2-year technical school or equivalent experience. Vocational or technical training or equivalent experience in relevant audiovisual fields highly desirable.

Experience in technically supporting events on a variety of platforms including but not limited to Zoom, LiveStream, Youtube Live, etc.
Experience with consulting, setting up, managing and removing video and lighting equipment used for live and recorded events.

Experience using broadcasting/recording equipment such as the NewTek TriCaster, vMix, etc.

Thorough understanding on the function of personal computing devices and their relationship with event technology equipment pertaining to Microsoft Microsoft Windows, Apple’s MacOs iOs.

Skills with troubleshooting computer systems and how they relate to audio-visual systems and be able to quickly identify and resolve issues at an event.

Superior client service, communication and organizational skills

Preferred:
Expert level (through experience, training and/or certifications) in supporting at least one multimedia application (Final Cut X or Adobe Premier).

Crestron hardware certification
Knowledge of working in an academic environment.

A valid driver’s license and the ability to meet the eligibility requirements of the College’s current Motor Vehicle Use Policy. A preplacement Physical Examination is also required. Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents
Preferred: Two or more years supporting event production, including video recording, live streaming and lighting. Standard Work Days and Hours
Variable shift position: during the academic year, M-F 12:30 – 9:00 pm; and M-F, 8:30 – 5:00 during the summer and College breaks. Weekend and evening work as required to fulfill the responsibilities of the position. About Bowdoin
