The English Department of Haverford College invites applications for a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in the area of Asian-American literature during the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 academic school years. Interdisciplinary approaches are welcome, as are approaches involving comparative scholarship across Chicanx/Latinx Studies and/or indigenous studies.
Desirable teaching subfields include film studies, performance studies, gender and sexuality studies, and/or creative writing. The visitor will teach a total of five courses over the academic year, including classes at the introductory, intermediate, and advanced levels. The successful candidate will demonstrate readiness to teach a diverse student body and provide evidence of a strong and on-going research program that is open to inclusion of undergraduates. Candidates must have completed the requirements for the PhD by August 1, 2021. Candidates should submit application materials via Interfolio @ http://apply.interfolio.com/87865 .
