The West Virginia University School of Social Work ( http://socialwork.wvu.edu ) seeks a faculty member to teach and advise in the MSW Online Program beginning in August 2021 or January 2022. This position requires regular presence on the Morgantown campus. The twelve-month position carries the academic rank of Teaching Instructor or Teaching Assistant Professor, depending on the candidate’s level of graduate education. Teaching faculty appointments at WVU are full-time, promotable, non-tenure track, renewable term appointments with no limit on the number of terms.

This position will join a faculty team dedicated to the MSW online program. The WVU School of Social Work is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education and enrolls approximately 350 students at the BSW and MSW levels. The MSW Program offers a specialization in Advanced Integrated Practice. We are especially interested in candidates who, through their scholarship, teaching, or service are engaged in the study of anti-racism, equity, and justice.

WVU is a R1 research land grant university located within 90 minutes of Pittsburgh and 3.5 hours from the Washington/Baltimore area. Qualifications :

Academic qualifications include a CSWE-accredited master’s degree in social work (candidates who also have a doctoral degree are eligible for appointment at the rank of Teaching Assistant Professor); two years post-MSW professional practice experience; and, documented ability to develop online courses and teach effectively in an online setting.
