Job Summary:
The Director of Development will secure private and voluntary support from alumni and friends for UT Arlington and the College of Business. Manage a portfolio to identify, qualify, and cultivate potential major gift donors. Solicit constituents in collaboration with academic leadership and ensure proper recognition and stewardship. Collaborate with colleagues in University Advancement and within the College of Business to develop and advance fundraising strategies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the management of 100-150 potential or actual donors. Make personal contact, including in-person visits, with a portfolio of individuals and, when appropriate, corporate representatives and foundation officers to build relationships and secure major gifts for the College of Business in coordination with the Dean of the College of Business. Serve as an integral team member for the Dean of the College of Business and work closely with the leadership, faculty, and staff in the College to develop and advance fundraising strategies. Participate in strategic engagement opportunities for the College. Work closely with the Associate Vice President for Development and University Initiatives to complete fundraising projects related to the College of Business. Work collaboratively with colleagues in University Advancement. Management responsibilities include supervision of one (1) development coordinator. Assist in the oversight of the College of Business Advisory Council and participate in volunteer leadership activities that engage and cultivate relationships. Performs all other duties as assigned.
