GENERAL SUMMARY

The Licensure and ComplianceAnalyst is responsible for supporting the Legal & Compliance team by providingand maintaining state licensing research, analysis of research and coordinatingrelated projects, including creating and maintaining status reports.Additionally, this position will contribute to the development of documents andmaterials by editing for grammar, clarity, and consistency. This position willdirectly assist the legal and compliance efforts by providing support andvisibility to various special projects and will coordinate with stakeholders inmultiple locations and departments throughout the institution to meet projectdeadlines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct regulatory research and analysis for new and existing programs
  • Assist in the submittal of state regulatory agency applications, renewals, and required reports
  • Support coordination, tracking and development of licensing and compliance projects.
  • Maintain and update tracking systems.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Manager, Regulatory Affairs and Director, Compliance Initiatives
  • Liaise with various licensing boards and state authorization boards, including communications on licensure requirements and submissions
  • Review and analyze licensing board rules, policies and decisions.
  • Review and edit materials for correct grammar, punctuation,and clarity as well as consistency in style, voice, and form. Cross-checkreferences and verify all course components are complete and aligned withrequirements of the regulatory agencies to which they will be submitted.
  • Facilitate the prioritization of project requirements with institutional stakeholders or escalate issues that threaten on-time submissions.
  • Report weekly the project components status and issues to the General Counsel and other compliance team members.
  • Implement and aggressively manage the execution of the tasks.
  • Effectively share knowledge, deliverables, and lessonslearned with other team members

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2-3 years of professional experience in legal, regulatory, or professional licensing board experience, preferably in higher education, regulatory or licensing board setting
  • Knowledge of state professional licensing board rules andregulations is a highly preferred
  • Superior knowledge of grammar, usage, and language
  • High sensitivity to the confidential nature of the work.
  • High computer literacy including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and other technology is required.
  • Ability to edit both on hardcopy and in an electronicenvironment. Familiar with proofreaders’ marks.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task in a constantly changing environment.
  • Strong change management skills with the ability to work within a matrix-run organization.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving experience.
  • Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision.
  • In addition, the ideal candidate will possess a high degree of personal integrity and strong work ethic and be proficient in delivering sustained results in a matrix infrastructure.


LICENSURE AND/OR CERTIFICATION:

Licensed public notary is desired but not required

TRAVEL

Occasional travel may be required but limited and less than 5%. Individual will be assigned to the FLSA campus and regular campus presence will be required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment but may involveexposure to moderate noise levels. Work involves operation of personal computerequipment for six to eight hours daily and includes physical demands associatedwith a traditional office setting, e.g., walking, standing, communicating, andother physical functions as necessary.
